A Cacophony of Colour: A Look at the Touhou Shooters

Shoot the Bullet

Shoot the Bullet is a really interesting take on the not only on the series, but the genre as well. Players control Aya as she photographs bosses from previous Touhou games. It sounds easy, but it’s a lot harder than you think. Gameplay is solely based on photography. Players will have a certain number of photos they have to take in a small time limit. Doing this effectively consists of players moving in as close as possible, getting the boss in the crosshairs, and snapping the most risky shot for the best score.

Getting this risky shot means that players will have to be brave enough to dive deep into curtain-fire bullet sheets without getting hit. Once you're hit, its mission failure. As if that wasn’t enough, your shots are charge based; so no quick snapping. It’s really hard.

That about wraps it up for this article folks, if you kids are interested in any of these games I have included a link to where you can get them. And if anyone does play these, leave a comment below as I would like to hear what you guys think about them. Click here for the Doujin Style web site.
