Age of Booty

C'mon, Age of Booty should interest you on it's name alone.


With a name like Age of Booty, it’s bound to grab a gamer’s attention. Previously named Plunder – not to mention being inspired by Bungie’s theoretical Pimps at Sea game – Age of Booty is close to completion for the Xbox Live Arcade and other download services. Developed by Certain Affinity and published by Capcom, Age of Booty is a real-time strategy game with a real kick.

Lode Runner

I'll be taking all your gold this fall.


Announced CES `08, Lode Runner is receiving an enhanced HD makeover for the XBLA. It’ll feature support for Xbox Live multiplayer and leaderboards. If players have never experienced Lode Runner, this 1983 platform game was one of the first games to include a level editor. The objective for the game is for players to collect all the gold in the level and avoid capture from robots. Xbox Live gamers will be able to play Lode Runner this fall after certification is completed.

While we only choose five titles to concentrate on, we can guarantee you that there are several other XBLA titles that will surely surprise gamers by the end of 2008. Stay tuned to our review coverage of the latest XBLA releases every week.
