Driving Rampage Inspired by Video Games

Home : News : News Story

Another day, another guy breaks multiple laws and says his PS2 made him do it.

TV station KSL-5 said a 27-year-old man led police on a chase in excess of 100 mph and told the police such behavior had always worked in video games.

The guy tore down I-15 on a bullet bike, moving way faster than police vehicles were able to. Daniel Savino's Need for Speed-inspired run came to an abrupt end when he lost control of the bike and ended up under a Ford Expedition. The bike caught fire, but Savino apparently only sustained a bad case of road rash.

Police say he's lucky to be alive, as he was wearing neither a helmet or a shirt. No shirt? Was one of the racing games that inspired him Big Mutha Truckers?
